Use of silencers in Poland06.02.2020
On January 31st, 2020 a law on fighting infectious animal diseases entered into force. It pertains especially to African swine fever (ASF).
Among others, the new law gives a possibility to use silencers during a hunt in Poland.
Silencers can though only be used by Polish hunters to cull infected animals by order of the relevant authorities such as a Chief Veterinary Officer.
The new law does not make any changes in the regulations defining the use of silencers by foreign hunters during commercial huntings.
It means that it is still strictly forbidden for foreign hunters to use silencers in Poland.
